A stepper motor driven disc rotates 180 degrees each hour. A scale is marked off in 5 minute intervals that align with the moving marker on the disc. After each hour the disc rapidly returns to the starting point either by reversing or continuing in the clockwise direction. A NIXIE tube tells the hour.
